Frequently Asked Questions

  • Art therapy is a creative approach to healing that allows you to express and explore your emotions through art and the creative process.

Whether through painting, drawing, or visualization, the creative process provides a safe way to communicate feelings and gain insight. Art therapy helps you connect with your inner world, process difficult emotions, and explore familiar patterns through a new perspective.

No artistic experience is required! It's about the process, not the product.

  • Art making is not a requirement! As a licensed creative arts therapist, I have training in both art therapy and traditional talk therapy.

I may invite you to make art at certain times, but it is always up to you!

  • Self pay / Out-of-network therapy sessions cost $130 per visit.

If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots and am happy to discuss options that feel more accessible for you.

  • Yes! I accept Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna and Evernorth as well as Quest Behavioral Health insurance, as well as certain BCBS varieties, all through Headway.

  • Full payment is due at the time of session. If there is any need to cancel, please give 24-hour notice..

For any appointment missed or cancelled without a 24-hour prior notification will still be due to provide payment.
